Gender equality is a necessary prerequisite for democratization of our society, but also an essential prerequisite for proving our maturity in the application of European principles and values. SNP CG does not want gender equality to be reduced to linguistic forms and declarative dedication, but to truly promote the role of women and the importance of their participation in social engagements. We insist on the full social inclusion of women, valorization of their participation on equal basis with men, insist on equal terms of employment and exercise of all other economic and social rights. We are committed to equal participation of women in key positions for making important political and economic decisions, without neglecting the fact that the women are a majority population in Montenegro.

In order to make a woman in Montenegro be fully realized in her family, profession or community, it is necessary to change the view of traditional one-sided role of women in our society through a systematic promotion of adequate participation of women in public, political, cultural and economic life of our country encouraged by the state’s measures. It is therefore necessary to modify the employment policy, labor policy, pension and other policies, which will define the legal obligations of the state and employers against women, respecting the principles of affirmative action and European standards in the policy of promoting and achieving gender equality.
