We were the first party that put European integration of Montenegro into focus of the state’s top priority by proposing the Declaration on EU accession to the Montenegrin Parliament, and now we are the first to say that the integration itself is not the ultimate goal, but a means to change the value system, establish and achieve new standards and a modern society based on work and knowledge.

We believe that Montenegro should be at the forefront of reforms, to initiate and establish new forms of regional association that is working to meet the criteria for full EU membership. Not only the government, state institutions and political parties should be in charge of European integration, it is a continuous and coordinated activity of the whole society and all of its stakeholders. We stand for a transparent, measurable and responsible attitude towards international integration, for the declaration of citizens in referendum on accession to NATO and our military involvement in international peace enforcement missions, which are not in accordance with UN mandate.

In relation to these issues SNP CG will respect the will of the majority of its members and supporters still sticking to the belief that the Partnership for Peace is optimal framework of Montenegro's participation in regional and international security systems. We want a broad and open social debate of the advantages and disadvantages of security and other integration.

International integration has to be faster and of a better quality, and the role and importance that Montenegro enjoys in international forums must be increased. Professional, depoliticized, responsible and professional diplomatic and consular service is of great importance for the integration process and we are strongly committed to strengthening thereof. The process of integration and strengthening the international position of Montenegro is dynamic and requires a continuous learning, reviewing and amending legislation and behavior patterns.

SNP CG has the knowledge and is ready to continuously improve it, but also to put all of its human and professional capacities at the disposal of the society in order to achieve one of our program goals in timely manner, which is Montenegro as a full member of the big European family.

SNP CG will give its full contribution to integration also in the manner that we will intensify our activities to become a member of the Socialist International, and our Youth Association member of the Socialist Youth International. Thus, we will put our future membership, political and party ties and international political support into a function of strengthening the international position of our country.
